I'm wondering if there is a way to program drum tracks on my PC using the Superior Drummer library (which sounds fantastic), then "route" a completed drum track into the iPad via my PC's auxiliary in/out ( so PC aux in/out-> 1/8" to 1/4" converter -> Apogee Jam interface -> iPad). That is now long gone, but I am hoping to start recording some songs with a very basic setup and am wondering if I can fit in Superior Drummer somehow.īasically, I want to record using GarageBand on my iPad and the Apogee Jam 96K interface. I was given Superior Drummer 2.0 as a gift a few years ago when I was getting back into drumming and had a Roland electronic drum kit. Basically the Roland pedals are not linear, so Toontrack is going to let the end user select the switch points (by CC range) for the hihat samples.I have a couple of extremely rudimentary questions. From what I hear, that will be the first fix they will be coming out with. The first 3/4 of movement does pretty much nothing. The problem is that all the variation of open to closed are all crammed together in the last 1/4 of hihat pedal travel. Toontrack has in the works some controls that will make the hihat track cheeper pedals like mine a lot better. The hihat is still a bit quirky, which is partially Roland's fault for how the CC data is transmitted. Perhaps if you find some sparetime and have nothing else to do? not essential but I guess I could learn a lot. I never had my hands on an e-drum, I wonder how all those different pitches that belong to the HiHat (I have EZDrummer and there are a lot of keys taking care of the HiHat) are triggered and how the foot pedal messages come into play. And especially I would like to see the corresponding midi file. I would love to hear some HiHat work with Superiour2.
Love to listen to a drum solo from time to time, especially if one can hear that the drummer has a real good time playing, like one does hearing this little demo of yours.
